I know a little garden close...

Where did your feet wander with you this week?

British craftsman, poet, and designer said "I know a little garden close, set thick with lily and red rose. Where I would wander if I might, from dewy dawn to dewy night. And have one with me wandering."

He was definitely on to something. (And not just the Arts and Crafts movement).

These weekly posts are inspired by GardenMama's blog here - to participate leave your link in the comments so everyone can share.

Oh, and I couldn't help myself. I started thinking about William Morris, and Arts & Crafts and had to leave a few odes to him.

  1. I love walking in the woods with my daughter - for us though it's mostly just bike trails in our neighbourhood but they're so lush in some parts - it feels like we're practically walking through a forest....

  2. How pretty Jen! I too am a fan of the woods and William Morris. Our woods in the Santa Monica Mountains are so very different from yours with our dry arid climate. Please give my best to the conifers.

  3. I love the way you collect photos and put them together in your own way in your postings sometimes. It's funny...we don't really go in the woods in the summer where we live because of ticks and lyme disease. Isn't that awful? I guess we make up for it in the winter, though. love, Beth

  4. Thank you, Beth :) I do take and collect photos, and wait for that thought, that idea to inspire me to post about something - a connection I've made.

    Thanks for your visit :)

    Warmly
    Jen

  6. beautiful pictures, id love to come visit your woods.
How fun it must have been to do pottery in the middle of your work day for a break, sounds like great fun!
I haven't done pottery since highschool art class but id love to do it again, such a relaxing task (if your pots going the way you'd like it to anyway!)
