this moment - pear picking

(There is a fabulous organic pear + apple orchard close to Ottawa! I'll post the info + lots more photos later today... Of course, many of you will probably already know about this little eden)...

    I love apple time. I enjoy all the yummy desserts like apple pie and my favorite apple crisp! Looks like you had a fabulous time with your little helper!

    we just cooked up a big apple crisp last night with honey as the sweetener (I'd never tried it before) and it was so different... I liked it very much, especially after the 2nd bowl :) :)

    do you have a favorite pie recipe?

    I love this picture! The colors are perfect.
    I look forward to the information on the orchard...the only one I knew of was called the Log Cabin, is it that one?

    Thanks Kimara! That hat is actually an original Montreal Olympics hat from 1976 (I was there as an unborn wee one). Somehow it was saved all these years and fits my little one's head perfectly :)

    It's Ferme Le Tournesol in Embrun - most of the big pears are gone but lots of smaller ones left and tons of apples :) It's a pretty drive out...
