Awhile back, the lovely Beth Shea (her fabulous eco friendly kids' blog is here) asked us to answer some questions as part of an interview for Inhabitots. Not an easy thing to do, to write about yourself, but it comes with the territory of having a handmade business. Well, I suppose it comes with the territory of any business, but especially one that is about the real people who make the things they sell.
The interview went live today - it is here. It includes one of my favorite photos. It's of my mom (and shop partner at SewnNatural) and I at my 3rd birthday party. She used to sew me the most glamorous little 1970s dresses. And she was quite pregnant with my little brother at the time too (and that hair is totally 1970s hot-rollered). So it's a sweet photo memory for me (what you don't see in the shot is the decadent chocolate train cake on the table!)
Beth was great to focus in on some of the eco friendly aspects of SewnNatural, and our lives. I really appreciated that.
