ringing in 2011 :: what's in store for art and craft
Looking ahead to 2011, it feels like a fresh start is around the corner. January's cold (at least here in Ottawa) and the distinct change of mood from the rush-rush and formal celebrations of December always seem to usher in a feeling of retrospection, and looking ahead.

Recently, I asked members of the Artisans Gallery team about what their predictions, resolutions and goals were for 2011, especially relating to their art & craft.

I wrote a blog post about it here, and Part 2 of the series is coming up later this week.
As for me, I'd really really like to focus on doll-making for the next few months, especially before the baby comes in May. And I want to tackle some more difficult sewing, more complicated patterns -both on the machine and in embroidery, and push myself. Be more experimental and step out of my comfort zone.
What do you have planned for your art & craft this year?

Sounds like great goals for the new year! I use to make handmade dolls and loved it...just like playing dolls as a little girl.
ReplyDeleteYour mermaid doll came out beautifully Jen. I am looking forward to needlefelting and working with wool felt more this coming year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you.
Warm wishes, Tonya
