getting ready for our labour journey :: a sweet tidbit
As we met with our (wonderful) Doula one evening this week, we practiced a breathing technique about going deeper within, focussing in on ourselves and ... realizing all of the sensations, and breaking them down in an effort to remain calm and focussed.
This was facilitated for me a 4 year old sitting squarely on one knee (who had been there for quite awhile). As I used that sensation to delve inward, in preparation for our birth, I felt some incredible squirming.
At the end of the minute, I asked her what she was doing. With perhaps a bit more than a hint of frustration in my voice.
"I'm trying to look into my tummy. To get my head into my tummy to go inside myself. I'm really really trying to do this."
Oh, my love.
