handmade eco friendly ornaments (and our kimono silk swag on Apartment Therapy)
Last week, our upcycled kimono silk ball garland was noticed here on Apartment Therapy! Thank you, Re-Nest (my favorite of Apartment Therapy's blogs as it focusses on eco friendly, handmade artisans and their pieces... yay!)
Here are some of my other favorite handmade ornaments for this holiday season:
mandarin orange blossom blown glass ornament by wolfartglass
(love the unexpected, fresh color)
a classic wood turned ornament by holzfurhaus
(oak dyed a beautiful dark green color... so strong & delicate at the same time)
hand embroidered retro ornament by Waterrose
(this reminds me of the beautiful old mercury glass ornaments my great grandparents used)
a hand sewn (not laser cut!) copper and brass star ornament by Donauluft
(such incredible craftswomanship on this!)
Oh, and in case you haven't seen it, here is a fabulous list of gifts kids of all ages can help to prepare, or even make themselves. These wouldn't only make great holiday gifts - we'll be using some of the ideas for birthdays and everyday surprises too.

Thanks Jen! great to see the beautiful eco friendly deco´s on re-nest!
